Cake Batter Dip Recipe (2024)

Cake Batter Dip Recipe (1)

Make sure to REPIN this recipe 🙂

A little known fact that my mom use to make me funfetti cake for my birthday —- I have always had a soft spot for sprinkles – so I thought it would be fun to surprise her with a sweet treat using the funfetti cake mix

I then added some animal crackers — looks like they are all taking a bath doesn’t

My family loved the dip – especially since it was not too sweet 🙂

When I was picking up the animal crackers at Winco I noticed that those animal crackers in that cute little box were no where to be seen ( does anyone know the animal crackers I am talking about) I use to love those as a kid

I really hope you enjoy this recipe 🙂

This is everything you will need – I went with French vanilla yogurt and decided to really hit it up a notch with vanilla extract

AND before we go on – I love how I could not find animal crackers I legit looked for 10 minutes all I could find were Animal Cookies — I know they are the same thing but still I want the cookies in that red box 😉

I thought it was fun to have the animals swimming in the dip 🙂

If you do make the Cake Batter Dip Recipeplease let me know what you think 🙂 I really think it would be perfect for a birthday party – you could even add some color dye ( like blue) to make it look like water

Love You Guys!

Made this dip for family Thanksgiving get together. it was wonderful. trouble is we have so much left over and with only 2 of us we can’t possibly eat it all. Can this be frozen as is or can it be made in to a cake or something?

My question is can it be frozen as is or can it be made into some kifd of cake or cookie since it is made with cake batter I can freeze those.

    Hello,
I really want to make this but I am lactose intolerant. What could I use in place of the Vanilla yogurt??

  • Raine

You know, I found this recipe last year, and made it for a family BBQ.
Holy crow; everyone lost their minds over it.

It’s now my go-to for any sweets-friendly potluck, and it’s always popular 🙂

    Thank you!

  • Amanda

This dip did not turn out at all for me. It was very very thick and dense. It made a huge portion and no one ate it. No one being a bunch of kids and their parents for my daughter’s birthday party. I followed the recipe and even tried adding more yogurt and cool whip but it was a total loss. :-\

  • Kesha Cronister

I added cream cheese and loved that then my ma added sour cream to that amd it really made the flavor pop!!!

  • Ali

Heads up! Don’t use greek yogurt. I feel like it was way too thick!!!! I should have used the same as you pictured but Chobani was on sale!

  • McKenzie

I goofed up the recipe and still got wonderful results! Made for a work potluck, served about 30-40 people (small snack portions). Used 2 containers of cool whip instead of 1, and substituted vanilla pudding for the vanilla yogurt the recipe called for. HUGE hit, everyone was raving about it 2 days later!

  • Jennifer

I have seen the cookies they have them but you usually have to get them in the bigger bag with the other cookies that they would always come with . They were my favorite too and I know WinCo still has them and sometimes Walmart and you should try Target.

  • Alix

    this was sooooo good!!!

  • Pam Tucker

I made it and it IS the perfect dip for a birthday party. Served with animal crackers and fresh fruits to dip. Everyone loved it. I had to improvise and used a french vanilla cake mix, coconut yogurt, with my own purple, blue, pink, and red jimmies instead. Zero complaints or leftovers.
