12:55 GP 1st LOMACHENKO (#7, 15-1) ran well on this sod five back and that makes sense as he is bred to like two turns on the green. His most recent was poor but he was going second out for new barn and trying tons better. This level is better and we like that the one race blinker experiment ends. 1:47 LRL 4th DATS TAP (#3, 6-1) breezed a furlong in 10 2/5 prior to the recent auction, and is a half-brother to Grade 1-winning dirt sprinter No Parole (won first three) out of stakes-winning turf sprinter Plus One (84 synthetic Beyer; won debut). 2:42 MTH 5th GHOSTLY ROSE (#1, 9-2) makes his grass debut in this Tyro Stakes but he seems well spotted given the projected race flow and his apparent running style, as there's plenty of speed to his outside and he showed in his debut that he has a good late kick; may be able to run them all down late given a clean trip from the hedge. -Kenny Peck|Bet this race with DRF Bets
3:02 GP 5th ROTONDO (#3, 10-1) is by a 14% debut turf sire. Her dam went 2-0-0-0 on the grass. Lone sibling is 10-4-1-1 on the grass and banked 95K. This filly tried two turns for the first time off the layoff and ran a solid fourth while tiring down the stretch. 4:47 WO 8th OWEN'S TOUR GUIDE (#6, 9-2) found her calling as a front-runner on the Tapeta last fall and is coming off a bang-up second behind a sharp shipper in the G3 Hendrie. 5:13 GP 9th UNEQUIVOCALLY (#1, 6-1) is one of two with good speed but this colt needs only to break decent to hold the rail. Beaten favorite applies if you like that angle. 5:50 GP 10th SIR BANANA BRIAN (#5, 6-1) didn't get a clean trip last out. We actually had him on top as we thought the grass was a good fit but alas he is returned to a synth sprint today. 8:17 SR 8th JULIET'S KITCHEN (#6, 5-1) may inherit a dynamite trip in this conditional $7,000 to $8,000 claimer at five furlongs on turf. The winner of a $5,000 claimer for non-winners of two at 5 1-2 furlongs at Sacramento on July 14, Juliet's Kitchen runs from the back of the field and should have plenty of pace to follow. 9:10 CBY 7th CATRICK (#1, 12-1) tried two turns and the turf both for the first time last out and won nicely. His upside is best. He should improve second time on the green with a turf Tomlinson of 361. You could say the same for two turns with a distance Tomlinson of 361.
